2021 Fishing Derby - Sold Out
Important Update:
The Hampstead Civic Club free Kids Fishing Derby is currently sold out and there will be no additional signups the day of the event. We have been in touch with both the Town and the State and were hoping that regulations would loosen up enough that we could allow more participants. Sadly, that does not currently look possible. We will place Stakes at 10’ intervals to help families be aware of the 6’ Social Distancing between groups and everyone ages 3 and up are asked to wear masks.
We are hoping to have a fun family day with good weather. If the State loosens restrictions between now and the day of the event, we will look to open the registration up again. We are sorry for any disappointment.
The good news is that we are stocking the pond with 500 trout again this year and families are encouraged to fish at shop pond during the vacation week.
Please stay tuned for an announcement on a Family Town Wide Scavenger Hunt on May 15-16th.

Annual Kids Fishing Derby
When: Saturday, April 24, 2021
Where: Shop Pond, Hampstead, NH
Time: 7:00am – 12:00 noon
7:00am – registration begins
8:00am – starter’s cannon begins event
10:00am -11:00am – prizes awarded
- MASKS REQUIRED for ages 3 and up
- 6 feet social distance between families.
- If you or a family member has Covid-19 symptoms, please stay home!
- Open to kids of Hampstead and surrounding towns.
- Ages 1 to 15 years are eligible. No entry fee required.
- Each child that registers receives a small gift.
- Pond stocked with 500, 8-14 inch trout.
- Prizes awarded in many categories.
- Food Concessions and Raffles
