Recreational Basketball
Our Recreation Basketball programs are available to any child residing in Hampstead ages 6 to 18. In our program, all players receive equal playing time. The focus of this recreational program is to have fun and for everybody to play.
Instruction and ongoing coaching support are provided for volunteer coaches in these programs.
No child is left out because of financial need or hardship. Any family can request a full scholarship to any of our recreational programs and will be provided assistance confidentially and without any application requirements. Just contact us by email, or contact a club member and ask.
Program Information
Registration Dates*: September 22 - November 21, 2025
Season Dates:
- December 13, 2025 - February 21, 2026 - Elementary Boys and Girls: Grades 1-4
- December 13, 2025 - March 7, 2026 - Middle School Boys
- December 13, 2025 - March 14, 2026 - High School Boys
Draft Day: Applicable ONLY for Middle School boys grades 5-8 and High School boys grades 9-12
- WHEN: Saturday, November 22, 2025
- WHERE: Hampstead Middle School Gym, 28 School Street.
- TIME: Middle School Boys: 9:00-10:30 am
- TIME: High School Boys: 6:00-8:00 pm
Draft Day Details
- All registered players, regardless of draft-day attendance, will be placed on a team.
- Middle School Boys’ Coaches will contact parents/players with the days and times of practices.
- Middle School teams practice Monday & Tuesday nights 6:00-7:00 pm at Memorial Gym, 2 West Rd. Hampstead
- All Boys games are played at the Hampstead Middle School gym.
The Civic Club is seeking parents/guardians as volunteer coaches.

$50.00 per player
- Biddy Ball: Boys ages 6 years old by 9/30/25 and in first grade
- Girls 1st and 2nd grade
- Boys 2nd grade
- Girls 3rd-5th grade
$60.00 per player
- Boys 3rd–4th grade
- Boys 5th-8th grade
- Girls 6th grade-High School
$80.00 per player
- Boys High School
The spirit of the program is camaraderie, fun, and exercise. The Hampstead Civic Club reserves the right to suspend any participant for poor conduct.

- There are NO draft day events for Biddy Ball, 2nd-4th Grade Boys and 1st-8th grade Girls

- If the cost of the program is a hardship, please notify any Civic Club member.
- Proof of Hampstead residency is required. (Sorry we cannot honor requests that your child be placed with certain coaches or children)
